Belgian cable operator Tecteo (the former Liege-based ALE-Teledis) is close to acquiring full control of the pay-TV operations owned by BeTV, the former Canal+ Belgique, according to a filing with the national monopoly commission.
At the moment ACM, an association of Walloon cable operators, owns 50.1%, investment firm Deficom 33% and the holding Socofe the remainder. BeTV has about 125,000 subscribers to its movie and sports premium channels. It is believed to be worth between €50 and 60 million.
