Jetix Europe is adding a new interactive video player as part of a redesign of its 19 websites. The new look also features an incentive-based online community and enhanced games sections.
The community will allow users to access exclusive content, interact with friends, and build their own profile featuring a personal 3D avatar created by Yomego. The video player uses a Flash-based solution developed by Maven Networks.
Jetix says it has made a “substantial investment” in the sites, ensuring concerns over child protection are met. The fresh design, created by Bloc media, follows the broadcaster’s new on-air look.
The relaunch of the sites for Germany, UK, Spain, Italy, France, Netherlands, Israel, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Romania, Turkey, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Greece follows qualitative research and a series of focus groups among Jetix’s 6-14 year-old target audience.
