Revenues at Israel’s DTH platform YES increased by 7.3% in the second quarter to NIS 380 million (€72.12m) as it enjoyed a 1.5% net increase in subscribers.
However, with an increase of just 2,000 subscribers on the quarter and 8,000 year-on-year there is evidence the installed base is levelling out. ARPU increased to NIS 230.
Owners Bezeq suffered a NIS 99m loss for the segment compared to NIS 65m in the second quarter of 2007. The increase of 52.3% year-on-year was due in part to expense linked to the Israeli consumer price index, the cost of original production, and increases in maintenance services from subcontractors.
YES posted positive EBITDA of NIS 103m compared to NIS 100m in the Q2 2007.
