The fledgling commercial TV station Austria 9TV today announced it has reached a potential reach of more than 1.5 million cable households. This represents an increase of 30% over the past three months. The channel now reaches 56% of all cable connections in the country.
Austria 9TV is also available on DTH as a free-to-air channel, through the ORF smart card. The channel started broadcasting on December 12, 2007. It is owned by Burda Broadcast Media, Andmann Media Holding, Dr Conrad Heberling, the Medienpool TV GmbH and High View Holding.
