African DTH operator GTV has launched its French and English pay-TV packages in the Cameroon. The launch comes ahead of the start of the Premier League season on Saturday.
In a press briefing on Wednesday Julian McIntyre, Founder and Managing Director of GTV said the broadcaster would screen 80% of Premier League fixtures repeating the company’s well trodden claim of opening up the market “We’re shaking things up, offering our own G channels alongside premium international and African programming not just to a few people but to literally thousands of people who have never before been able to access pay-TV,” he said.
GTV has six packages in all including its proprietary G Star entertainment and movie channel and G Sports 1 and 2.
