The Dutch DTT operator KPN Digitene will increase its monthly subscription fee from €6.95 to €7.50. The price is still about half that of the average basic cable subscription.
At the end of June, Digitenne had around 610,000 subscribers. Digitenne viewers receive a basic bouquet of 23 channels including a hard porn channel.
KPN positions the service as a low cost alternative to cable. Only the three Dutch national public channels, as well as the regional public broadcasters, are available free to air.
