Data produced by SMG/KRC indicates that 11% of Polish homes had HDTV sets as of June 2008, as opposed to 6% a year earlier.
At the same time, the number of households with internet access rose to 38%. ADSL connections remain the most popular, accounting for 37% of the total, and were particularly high (56%) in rural parts of the country.
One in four homes were receiving internet services via cable as of June this year (up from 22% a year earlier), with the highest concentrations (51%) being found in cities with a population of over 500,000.
