Brightcove has announced its involvement with Number10TV, a new video portal designed to provide greater public access to video of the Prime Minister’s speeches, press conferences, media appearances and news archives.
The extension of the official government website, Number10.gov.uk, was variously reported in the national media last weekend. The site belongs to the office of Prime Minister, as opposed to that of the present incumbent Gordon Brown, who has been holidaying in the seaside town of Southwold.
10 Downing Street will have full access to Brightcove’s video publishing platform including distribution through search engines and social networks.
