The new Polish sports channel Orange Sport will finally make its debut this Friday (August 8).
It was originally due to launch two weeks ago, to coincide with the start of the Polish premier football league (Ekstraklasa) season, which was itself delayed.
The channel will be distributed initially by Videostrada, the IPTV platform operated by its owner, the incumbent telco TPSA; and the DTH platform Cyfra+.
Quoted in the local press, Francois Remael, the head of content at TPSA, said he does not expect Orange Sport to break even before 2010.
