UKTV has reshuffled the channel heads on its factual portfolio ahead of next year’s planned rebrands.
Adrian Wills has been appointed head of UKTV People and Richard Kingsbury head of UKTV People.
Wills will continue to run UKTV Documentary while Kingsbury remains in charge of UKTV Food.
Both will report to Director of Lifestyle, Factual and New Media, Jane Mote and are responsible for maximising the content of their channels.
Wills launched UKTV History in October 2005 taking the channel to the award of Non-Terrestrial Channel of the Year at the Media Guardian Edinburgh TV Festival in 2005.
Kingsbury took over UKTV Food in November 2007 and is behind some of the channel’s recent successes including New British Kitchen, Market Kitchen and Rhodes Across China. He was previously Head of UKTV Drama.
The new channel brands and supporting websites will launch early in 2009.
