Threefold rise in ONO VOD

ONO put on an additional 11,000 homes on the quarter, at the same time building the number of customers taking its television and telephony services.

1.1 million customers are now enjoying ONO’s TV services, adding 41,000 on the quarter, 90% of the network has now been digitised. VOD usage has seen a three-fold increase over the last 12 months. 21 million VOD requests (events) took place in the second quarter.

The Spanish cablenet has added 312,000 RGUs over the past 12 months and increased its EBITDA margin to 43.8%. Revenues for the sixth months ending June 30, 2008 stood at €809m, compared to €812m for the sixth months ending June 30, 2007. Quarterly revenues fell slightly to €408m from €410m. The total number of RGUs stands at 3,954,000 with ARPU (Average Revenue Per Unit) rising on the year from €52.4 to €53.3. Churn remains relatively stable on the quarter at 19.4%.

ONO has increased its number of marketable homes up to 6,915,000 and has a market penetration of 27.3%.
