Nenad Cekic, the head of Serbia’s Broadcasting Agency (RRA), has together with his deputy, Aleksandar Vasic, been relieved of his duties.
These will in the future be undertaken by Bishop Porfirije from the Serbian Orthodox Church, and Goran Karadži?, the former director of Novi Sad-based TV Apolo.
Although no official reason for the dismissal has been given, it follows a recent controversial decision when Ceki? first announced a public invitation to suggest new board members for the state broadcaster RTS.
The RRA regulates the media scene in Serbia.
