The Israeli company Ananey Communications is set to buy MTV’s operations in the Baltic Republics.
According to reports in the Estonian press, the Estonian venture capital firm Martinson Trigon Venture Partners has signed an agreement to sell MTV Baltic to Ananey Communications for an unspecified fee, with the deal set to be closed in the near future.
Ananey Communications distributes 19 cable and satellite channels, including MTV, in Israel and recently launched a kids’ channel – temporarily named WOW! Kids – on the Israeli-owned DTH platform Boom TV in Romania.
MTV Baltic, which encompasses MTV operations in all three Baltic Republics, was established in September 2006.
