With the opening of four more DTT transmitter sites on August 1st, the French DTT network now reaches 87% of the urban population, according to the media authority CSA. The new sites are located in the departments of Aisne (Villers-Cotterêts), Ardèche (La Voulte-sur-Rhône), Ariège (Pamiers) and Essonne (Igny).
Since March this year, 50 new sites have been brought into service, and the number is set to grow to almost 150 by the end of the year. By that time, 89% of the total French population should be reached.
