CET Teleport has purchased the former Deutsche Telekom Teleport in Hameln, Germany from Stratos GmbH.
The teleport, one of the largest in Germany, was built by Deutsche Telekom in 1987, and has been used for broadcast satellite and VSAT services. Located in northwest Germany, the teleport has a view of the East Coast of Canada and to the United States, through to the Caribbean and South America. It also covers Europe and Africa across to Russia, China and all of Asia.
The purchase has been privately funded.
