Smaller Czech cable operators are to team up in order to compete more effectively with UPC and the incumbent telco Telefónica O2.
According to Parabola, 27 companies that make up the Association of Cable and Telecommunication Operators (APKT) are to pool their resources under the banner of CD Telematica (CD-T).
This will allow them to, amongst other things, increase their transmission capacity and multicast.
