Telekom Slovenije remains by far the largest provider of IPTV services in Slovenia.
According to a report published by the Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (APEK), it claimed a market share of 60.4% in Q1 2008, with its nearest competitor T-2 in second place with 36.3%.
The remainder was accounted for the alternative carriers Amis and Tus Telekom. Telekom Slovenije was also the leading provider of broadband internet services, though its 49.2% share in Q1 2008 was down from 53.5% a year earlier.
T2 was again in second place (16.8%), followed by Amis (8.8%), UPC Telemach (8.3%) and Tus Telekom (3.2%), while the cable operator Ljubljanski Kabel, now a subsidiary of UPC Telemach, claimed 2.0%.
