Poland is understood to be preparing a law that will almost completely liberalise the delivery of TV services over the internet, to mobile phones and VOD.
Local reports indicate the new legislation would effectively make the TV market, with the exception of the terrestrial sector, which would still require providers to obtain licences (albeit much more easily than at present), open to almost all new entrants.
Work on the proposed new legislation is being undertaken by the Ministry of Culture and National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT).
