The German holding company Orion Cable plans to completely take over PrimaCom and integrate it with TeleColumbus and EWT. “Of course it is our goal to bring the two companies together,” said Markus Schmid, CEO Tele Columbus Gruppe and Primacom AG to the German Digital Fernsehen news service.
Last October, Orion Cable acquired 82.24% in Primacom following a lengthy takeover battle with Kabel Deutschland (KDG). Last September, KDG withdrew its bid for Primacom after Orion agreed to sell 1.2 million connected homes to KDG for €585 million.
