Pre-school channel JimJam is to launch on the Ziggo cablenet in the Netherlands. Formed from the merger of Casema, @Home and Multikabel, Ziggo will add a further 400,000 digital households to JimJam’s fast-growing subscriber base, following earlier launches on the Dutch UPC cablenet and the DTH platform CanalDigitaal.
“JimJam is proving a huge success in the Netherlands and hitting close to one million viewers in only two months is a fantastic achievement,” said JimJam’s general manager Wayne Dunsford.
Later this month JimJam will launch in Russia and Bulgaria, taking advantage of the new Middle East feed introduced in April ahead of the channel’s launch on the Showtime platform.
Seven months after launch JimJam is available through three feeds – Italy, Central Eastern Europe and the Middle East – broadcasting across 11 territories in ten languages.
