The Czech public broadcaster CT has called off a tender for the provision of DTT multiplex services.
According to local reports, the decision was made CT’s general director Jiri Janecek following recommendations of a committee that evaluated bids from three parties – Bohemia Royal, Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRa) and Slovakia’s TRI R, recently renamed Towercom.
The Czech Republic currently has two operational DTT multiplexes but will eventually have four, one of which will be overseen by CT and only carry its channels.
