James Murdoch has officially moved into the President’s chair at Sky Italia. He has replaced his father Rupert Murdoch at the five-year old pay-TV operation.
The day to day running of Sky Italia remains in the hands of CEO Tom Mockridge, who is also the CEO of News Corp’s European television interests.
At the end of March 2008, Sky Italia had 4.5 million subscribers.
