UPC Austria has acquired 15 smaller privately owned cable networks with a total of 27,000 subscribers in the region of Upper Austria (Oberösterreich). The total of homes served by the operator now amounts to 741,000.
The new areas served include Ennstal, Innviertel and Salzkammergut. The networks will be integrated in the UPC network and offer triple play services.
