The Polish DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat may apply for a DTT multiplex operator’s licence, according to its president, Dominik Libicki.
Speaking to the local press, he added that the company would analyse the terms of tender to be held later this year before making a final decision.
Poland is initially planning two DTT multiplexes, the first of which will be reserved for existing FTA Polish channels and second for new services.
Although it is not yet known who will be the operator of the first multiplex, the public broadcaster TVP remains a favourite. The tender will be for the second multiplex.
