Portuguese pay-TV channel Sport TV has secured the exclusive TV transmission rights to the Portuguese Football League and the Honor League for the period 2008/09 to 2011/12.
Sport TV Portugal, in which ZON Multimedia has a 50% share, signed the contract with Publicidade de Portugal e Televisão (PPTV) to acquire the rights for the so-called Bwin Liga and the Liga Vitalis, the two most important football competitions organised by the Portuguese Professional Football League.
