The number of video views on ITV.com and ITV Local websites has grown by an average of 21% month-on-month for the last five months with 12 million video views recorded in May alone.
On June 1, the day after the finale of hit entertainment show Britain’s Got Talent, there were 1.1 million video views recorded across ITV.com and 8,000 hours of video watched on the Britain’s Got Talent microsite alone.
Since the relaunch of the ITV.com site last August there has been a 362% increase in usage for the site.
Catch-up content has been evenly spread across programme genres. Long running soap Coronation Street leads the list of the all time most viewed shows with five million views, though for June this has been overtaken by Euro 2008. The Top 10 also includes Dancing on Ice, Benidorm, Headcases and Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
