Rush HD expands coverage

June 19, 2008 09.34 Europe/London By Robert Briel

NonStop Television is to distribute the action sports channel Rush HD into the Nordics and Baltic Republics. It will be the second Voom HD channel offered by NonStop in the regions.

Delivered in 1080i format HD with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, Rush HD is a 24/7 channel dedicated to extreme sports and adrenaline-filled travel. A strong performer for Voom in the US, it recently made its international debut on BSkyB’s digital satellite platform in the UK.

“The early-adopting Nordic and Baltic markets are a natural next step for us with Rush HD, and the team at NonStop has clearly demonstrated its strength in these regions through its success with Voom HD, our first channel to launch globally,” said Glenn Oakley, senior VP, Global Operations and Business Development for VOOM HD Networks in a prepared statement.
