Paris-based Fashion TV has teamed up with the Serbian private broadcaster TV Pink to launch a new version of the global fashion channel aimed at the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
The new channel will start broadcasting in mid-September and be available in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro.
Around 30% of its programming will be produced in the region, with the remainder coming from the Fashion International Channel, subtitled in the Serbian/Croatian language. The percentage of regional programming could increase, depending on the success of the channel.
According to the terms of the agreement signed in Belgrade by the owner of Fashion TV, Michel Adam, and the owner of TV Pink, Željko Mitrovi?, the Serbian company will have 75% of the new venture, and FTV 25%.
The two partners also plan to launch a “party channel” called F Party TV, as well as branded Fashion cafes and restaurants in the region.
