The Slovak broadcaster TV Joj has announced plans to launch a second channel.
Local reports indicate the service will make its debut later this year, offer mostly movies and be distributed by cable. TV Joj is a national service and competes in a market also served by the public broadcaster STV and CME-backed station TV Markiza.
Its most recent audience share – as of June 12, according to data produced by PMT – stood at 15.2%, with TV Markiza and STV’s first channel claiming 36.9% and 16.3% respectively.
