The Belgian holding company Déficom plans to sell its 33 per cent share in pay TV operator BeTV, the former Walloon Canal+ Belgium. The group hopes to sell its stake to the combined Walloon cable operators, who hold the majority in the broadcaster.
BeTV is profitable and offers a range of digital pay TV channels, both on the Walloon DTT network and on the various cable networks both in Wallonia and Flanders. Negotiations between Déficom and the Walloon operators have been going on for some time, but have so far produced no results.
