The Polish public broadcaster TVP continues to attract the greatest number of viewers despite the increasingly competitive nature of the country’s TV marketplace.
According to data produced by TNS OBOP, its first channel TVP1 was the most watched this May, with an audience share of 23.67% amongst viewers aged 4+.
It was followed by TVP2 (17.16%), TVN (16.12%) and Polsat (15.77%), while the most popular thematic channel, excluding the public broadcaster’s TVP Info, was news-based TVN24 (2.75%).
The next best performing thematic channels after TVN24 were AXN (0.93%), Mini Mini (0.79%) and Viva Polska (0.67%). TVP1 was also the most watched channel in the 16-49 age group (20.44%), though TVN (19.54%) claimed top spot amongst urban viewers in the demographic.
