Up to 30% of Polish viewers are interested in watching TV services delivered over the internet, according to a study undertaken by TNS OBOP.
The study, which was commissioned by the alternative telco Inotel, also found that 29% of respondents would like to rent movies over the internet and 25% to take part in videoconferencing via their TV sets.
Just as importantly, it showed that 45% would like to watch commercial-free services.
The results of the study are being interpreted as a thumbs up to the rollout of VOD and IPTV services such as those offered by Inotel.
