News Corp may be planning to enter the emerging Czech digital TV market.
Local reports say the company may be looking to buy into TV7, which is backed by RTA, one of the new ‘compensatory’ digital TV licence owners.
Separately, the launch of the new Czech news and current affairs channel Z1 has been delayed. Its general director Martin Mrnka has said it would not now be able to make its full debut at 19.00 on June 1 due to technical reasons.
