TechniSat will show its first HD PVR cable receiver the DigiCorder HD K2X, a DVB-C version of its existing HD satellite PVR. Made in German,y the HDTV cable receiver offers MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 reception of SD and HD TV and comes with either a 160GB or 500GB hard drive, along with a twin-tuner for watching and recording two HD/SD programmes at a time.
In addition to the integrated CONAX conditional access subsystem featuring two smartcard readers, the Digicorder comes with two CI slots for using separate CI conditional access modules.
Technisat emphasises that its new HD Cable PVR has a low energy consumption profile, drawing less than 1 Watt in standby mode.
