From May 25 Eurosport HD will be distributed on the Ziggo cable networks in The Netherlands, the new name of the networks formerly known as Casema, Multikabel and @Home. Similar announcements can be expected from other Dutch operators including UPC.
The HD line-up on Ziggo now consists of Eurosport HD, HD1 NL, Discovery HD, National Geographic HD and Brava HDTV in the basic tier, with Film1 HD and Sport1 HD as premium options. During the summer, Nederland 1 HD will also be part of the offer.
The HD line-up on UPC currently consists of Discovery HD, National Geographic HD and Voom HD with Nederland1 HD during this summer’s sport events. Film1 HD and Sport1 HD are premium options.
For the time being, Eurosport HD will not be available on the DTH platform Canal Digitaal. During the coming months the line-up on Astra at 23 degrees East will be: Nederland1 HD, Discovery HD, National Geographic HD and Brava HDTV. An announcement is soon expected with the news that Voom HD will also be added.
