Juris Gulbis has been appointed the executive director and board chairman of Latvia’s Lattelecom.
Commenting afterwards, he said that the company’s main priority would be to develop broadband internet services in Riga and outside the city.
TeliaSonera-backed Lattelecom ended 2007 with 151,000 broadband connections and aims to increase the total by 40% this year.
Gulbis joined Lattelecom’s board in January 2007 and has most recently been its deputy board chairman and finance director.
