The incumbent Hungarian telco Magyar Telekom’s fixed line division T-Com ended Q1 with 735,000 broadband subscribers.
Although the number taking its IPTV service T-Home TV has not been announced, the company says growth in ADSL customers numbers has slowed down, with Internet revenues rising by just 2.3% in the quarter to HUF12.9 billion (€51.3 million).
However, the company also noted that demand for its broadband services was particularly strong and driven by IPTV in Montenegro, with the number of T-Com Crna Gora ADSL customers tripling in the first quarter.
