Revenues at Danish cablenet YouSee grew by DKK100m in Q1 2006 to DKK786m. The TDC-owned operator’s analogue service is enjoying a resurgence, boosted by a new programme line-up, alongside growth to the digital TV and broadband internet subscriber base.
However, the company has warned that the November 2009 launch of Denmark’s DTT pay platform Digi TV might hit the cablenet’s market share.
Operating expenses, including transmission costs, increased by 15.8% compared to the previous quarter to DKK344m reflecting in part the increased programme costs associated with a larger subscriber base.
YouSee’s EBITDA totalled DKK 212m in 1Q 2008, an increase of DKK 30m.
