Premiere has announced it has appointed Oliver Kaltner as its chief marketing officer. The 39 year-old will join from Sony Deutschland on July 1, 2008. CEO Michael Börnicke had previously taken direct responsibility for the division.
Kaltner was Sony’s divisional director marketing consumer electronics and has also held senior positions with Electronic Arts and Nike.
In a statement Börnicke described Kaltner as “a true marketing and sales professional.” He went onto to refer to two key milestones so far this year, the involvement of “Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation, a strong strategic partner for us” and the forthcoming upgrade of the pay-TV operator’s conditional access system through both Nagravision and NDS.
