The Polish public broadcaster TVP will launch an experimental Internet portal for its thematic channel TVP Historia this summer.
Speaking to the local press, TVP board member Marcin Bochenek said this was the first such initiative for TVP’s thematic services and would offer viewers such features as VOD.
TVP Historia made its debut in 2007 and as of this March could reach one million homes. Distributed by most leading cable operators, though significantly not the market leader, UPC, it claimed 611,000 viewers.
