Premiere has confirmed it intends to place two executives from shareholder News Corp onto its supervisory board, as reported earlier this week in Broadband TV News.
Tom Mockridge and Mark Williams will be nominated at Premiere’s AGM on June 12. Mockridge has headed up Sky Italia since its creation from Stream and Telepiu in April 2003.
Williams is CFO, Europe and Asia for News Corp, and reports to James Murdoch.
Premiere has also put forward Markus Tellenbach as a candidate for the board. Tellenbach was a director of SBS Broadcasting from December 2002 through until March 2007 and was at various times the company’s COO and CEO, before stepping down due to ill health.
More recently Tellenbach founded new media company Convers Media and in the past few weeks acquired online EPG Klack.de.
