The French cable operator Numéricable and TF1 Vision have signed an agreement to bring content from the French broadcaster to the cabler’s VOD platform. It is the first time that content from the online video website will become available on cable.
TF1 Vision will become part of the Video Club Numéricable VOD service, where individual programmes can be rented for a 24 hour period. Each request costs between €1.99 and €4.99.
The offers include recent episodes of US series such as Lost, Dr House, Ugly Betty, French comics including Dany Boon, Gad Elmaleh, Jamel Comedy Club, along with recent and library movies.
This summer, TF1 Vision will also start to offer programmes in HD. They will be streamed using DVB-C technology, which the cabler claims is superior to ADSL delivery.
