The Estonian incumbent telco Eesti Telekom’s Elion division ended Q1 with 63,200 IPTV and cable TV subscribers, or almost double the 32,400 it posted 12 months earlier.
Its triple play subscriber total meanwhile rose from 29,800 to 58,600 over the same period.
Eesti Telekom, which competes strongly with both the cable sector, dominated by Starman and STV, and a DTT platform operated by Starman and the national transmission company Levira, had revenues of €48.8 million for its broadband services in Q1 2008, or 9.5% more than in the quarter 12 months earlier.
