MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has appointed Alexey Efimov as the general manager of MTV Russia.
Efimov has previously been both the general manager of Channel One, the leading broadcaster in Russia, and the director of the national commercial station NTV.
MTV Russia is licensed to Prof-Media and a FTA service that reaches 35 million TV households daily. Its cable-delivered sister service VH1 reaches 14 million households.
