The German monopoly commission, the Bundeskartelamt, has started an investigation of the marketing of live Bundesliga games. The commission has asked the various cable operators and broadcasters what the effects will be of the exclusive marketing agreement between the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) and the Leo Kirch Sirius production firm.
The Bundeskartelamt needs an answer back before April 24th, which means that the actual sale of the games to broadcasters will be delayed further. Originally, Sirius had hoped to start selling the games in February.
