The Polish public broadcaster TVP has begun a DTT trial in the Lubuskie region of the country bordering Germany.
According to a local report, it is broadcasting a total of seven proprietary channels – TVP1, TVP2, TVP Info/Gorzów, TVP Polonia, TVP Kultura, TVP Sport and TVP Historia – in MPEG-4 and Dolby Digital Sound.
TVP is also currently undertaking almost identical trials, though without TVP Polonia, from transmitters in Srem (Poznan), Warsaw and Kraków, and MPEG-2 trials offering only three channels in the South East of the country.
