Channel rebrand at Discovery Networks Europe

April 7, 2008 10.51 Europe/London By Robert Briel

MIPTV – CANNES. Discovery Networks is to replace the EMEA versions of Discovery Civilisation with Discovery World with effect from April 18.
According to Discovery, the new channel will showcase “a more contemporary, knowledge-focused brand that will offer enriching documentary programming across a wide variety of genres”.

It follows the April 1 rebrand of Discovery Science, across Europe and the Middle East, with a new logo and the tagline “Question Everything”. The new Discovery Science logo borrows visually from the Periodic Table of Elements and features a stylized “Sc” positioned against a square background.
