The iTunes Store in Germany has begun to sell local TV content following a series of deals with US and German studios.
Since Wednesday April 2, customers have been able to download programmes from ProSieben, Sat.1, ZDF Enterprises, Brainpool, ABC Studios and MTV Networks.
Inevitably this means Lost, Desperate Housewives and South Park, but also Stromberg, Tramitz and Friends, Switch!, and Shaolin Wuzang. The company expects to add programming from ARD and RTL in the near future.
A total of 35 shows are available in the German market at between €1.99 and €2.49 per episode.
In March, UK iTunes users were given access to content from Channel 4, following an agreement with BBC Worldwide a month earlier.
