RTL Nederland will work with the fledgling online platform for classical music MonteVerdi on developing a thematic music channel. Every Sunday RTL8 will broadcast a branded block of classical music to gauge interest amongst viewers. Last year RTL said it was to launch a digital thematic channel in a joint venture with the Foreign Media Group, but the plans were abandoned after problems with rights issues.
