UPC reveals Polish digital plans

upc_headquarters.jpgUPC Poland has announced that it will launch a digital cable service this May.

Speaking to the local press, its president Simon Boyd said that it would initially be made available in Warsaw, and subsequently in the cities of Katowice, Wroclaw, Kraków and Opole, offering subscribers two programme package.

The first, known as Selekt, would consist of around 70 channels and cost PLN65 (€18.44) a month to receive, and the second, called Max, provide over 100 channels, some in HD, for PLN100 a month.

Boyd added that he expected 85% of UPC’s subscribers to be able to receive its digital cable service by the end of the year.
